Well, it's taken me a little over five long years of chasing my love, but she finally agreed to marry me! Once she made up her mind, things happened very quickly, and we were married six weeks to the day after I proposed to her. The story of this can be had elsewhere. (For now, it's sitting on [link] I'll probably post it here as a journal entry sometime before that domain name expires, though)

We were married on December 28th, 2007. It was a bitterly cold and windy day, but it was beautiful! My wife (I can't believe I can say that now...) is the kindest most loving person I could possibly have chosen to marry, and I'm so grateful for her uplifting and emboldening presence in my life -- every single day! It's great!

So, this semester in school I'm taking a non-major digital photography course. I've always enjoyed photography, but I never knew anything about it. lol Our first or second day of class, the instructor explained what aperture and shutter speed are, how they're related, and what they do to the photo. Great, this opens up many opportunities for taking cool pictures! So I went out, and with my wife we picked me a new camera, and it's working great for me! (Canon PowerShot G9)

Since I now am overflowing with new photos, some of them are actually decently attractive. I'll be posting several of those here now, I'll probably be relatively active on dA again for awhile. Hooray!
